Dear members of the Parish Family of St. Matthew and Our Lady of Perpetual Help,
As you are well aware these have been some turbulent days we have been facing. We have been informed by the Archdiocese of New York that all Masses are to be cancelled effective this weekend and moving forward. This is a time of prayer and support as we continue to be concerned about the outbreak of COVID-19 and its effects.
Although there will be no public Masses, the priests of the Parish Family of St. Matthew/OLPH will remember each and every one of you in our private Masses during this time. As always, the health and safety of our staff and all of our parishioners and their families is our most important priority, and so, we offer our remembrance of you and your loved ones, those whose lives have been impacted by the outbreak of COVID-19, as well as doctors, nurses, caregivers and those working towards finding a cure in our private Masses.
For those who need help during this time, please call the Rectory (914-478-2822) to speak to one of the priests. As a community of believers, we are ready to help spiritually and emotionally those who are in need at this time.
May God bless you and let us continue to pray for one another.
Fr. Tierney, Fr. Thomas, Fr. Gabriel and Fr. Nicholas
