Parable as Paradigm: “The Prodigal Son” & the Structure of the Bible - POSTPONED

You’ve heard it a thousand times: the story (Luke 15: 11-32) of the father with two sons who seems to favor the black sheep of the family, much to the fury of the dutiful one. But what’s really going on in this story? And how does it fit in the Bible as a whole – as part of a gospel, as part of a testament, and as part of the larger body of scripture? Come join us for a conversation with Fr. Thomas and parishioner Jim Cullen, who will walk us through this remarkable story on the strength of his erudition and a lifetime of reflection.

This inaugural session of Bible Study, which will run periodically over the next few months, will be held on Sunday, March 22 at 4 PM at St. Matthew Church. The discussion will be informal, enlightening and invigorating.
