The June 2021 meeting of the Parish Council was held on June 17th in the rectory meeting room at St. Matthew Church. Fr. Henry provided an update to the council on the parish reopening procedures following the relaxation of the COVID-19 guidance. Fr. Henry also advised the council that the color scheme for the repainting of St. Matthew Church should be ready by September and a bid can then be publicized. It was reported to the council that the parish is planning to hold religious education classes in person in September; details on registration will be forthcoming. Alexandria Stroud reported that the Year of St. Joseph presentation will be postponed until the fall due to a low response. The parish picnic will return this September; stay tuned for details! A discussion took place on the flower beds outside St. Matthew Church and Rectory. They will be addressed after the roof project is completed. The annual election of officers and the vote on the constitution amendment were postponed until September due to the lack of a quorum. The next meeting of the Parish Council will take place on September 16 at 7 p.m. in the rectory meeting room at St. Matthew Church.
