The Parish Council met on February 18, 2021, via Zoom. Eight members were in attendance. Fr. Henry reported that Ash Wednesday Masses and services were well attended. Tom Milton, Finance Council chair, reported that weekly and monthly collections remain on track. Joe Muldoon from the Buildings & Grounds Committee provided updates on various projects, including the roof at St. Matthew Church and Rectory and the sidewalk in front of St. Matthew Church. Bryan Healy from the Technology & Communications Committee reported a total of almost $3,800 raised from Foodtown for 2020. The Peace & Social Justice Committee will be investigating a worthy charity to donate the funds and will report back. Lee Kinnally from the Social Committee is investigating possible St. Patrick's Day virtual celebrations. The committee discussed a request from a parishioner to have an annual memorial Mass for parishioners lost during the previous year; the Liturgy Committee will investigate and report back. The next meeting of the parish council is March 18 at 5 p.m.
