Update on Trees in Front of St. Matthew Church

Recently, the Village of Hastings removed the street trees in front of the St. Matthew Church and Rectory. The Village has stated that the trees were determined to be dead or dying. They are in the process of selecting new trees to be planted later this spring. The tree pits in front of the church will receive new soil so that the replacement trees will have nutrients available to them to fully establish themselves.
