Parish Giving values the trust you are placing in us and works hard to protect and keep secure the nonpublic personal information we collect about you. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide services to you, and in part to the organizations to which members’ donate. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

How we gather information

We gather information in the following way:

• Personal information you provide to us (such as name, address, telephone, etc.).
• Financial information you provide to us in order to make your contributions (such as credit card numbers, bank routing numbers, etc.).
• Past, current and upcoming contributions that you initiate including contribution types, contribution amounts and contribution frequency.

How we Protect your information

We take the security of your financial information very seriously. Our website has been developed to adhere to the strictest guidelines regarding the security of the financial information you provide.

We follow the rules and guidelines of the National Automated Clearing House Association along with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Sensitive account information is rendered unreadable anywhere it is stored, encrypted anytime it is transmitted, and never shared with a third party. We use encryption technology more advanced than what is required by NACHA and PCI DSS.

Protecting members’ nonpublic personal information is an essential part of our business. We share and disclose such information only as described herein. Parish Giving shares personally identifiable information about members only in the following ways:

• To the organizations to which a member donates in order for them to maintain their records.
• This information includes personally identifiable information (such as name and address) as well contribution type information (such as amount, frequency and history of contributions). Parish Giving does not share financial information such as credit card and bank routing numbers with the organizations to which members donate.
• To those non-affiliated third parties such financial institutions that require such to process the transactions.
• We need to share your information with third parties, such as banks and credit card processors, to process the contribution you make.
• Others as permitted or required by law (such as to protect against fraud or in response to a subpoena).

How to Protect Yourself

Parish Giving recommends that you follow these security measures to protect and help prevent potential misuse of personal information about you:
 

• Do not share account information, passwords, user IDs, or other confidential information with others.
• Do not provide confidential information by telephone to unknown callers.
• Do not provide confidential information online unless you initiated the contact, know the party with whom you are dealing, and provide the information through a secure channel.
• When conducting business over the Internet, always use a secure browser, exit online applications as soon as you finish using them, and make sure you have virus protection and a firewall and update them regularly.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Parish Giving reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. If there are material changes to this statement or in how Parish Giving will use personally identifiable information, Parish Giving will post notice on the Parish Giving homepage at www.ParishGiving.org prior to implementing the change. The amended Terms shall automatically become effective immediately after they are posted. Your continued use of the site or Parish Giving services after the posting of the amended Terms on the Site constitutes your affirmative: (a) acknowledgement of the terms and its modifications; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by the terms, as amended.
